Who is Mathys ?
Mathys Haddouche (b. 1997) is a french photographer based in Belgium. With a Master's degree in Management Engineering, he spent most of his studies trying to perfect his photographic practice as a self-taught photographer.
It was in October 2018, when his finances allowed, that he took the plunge and bought his first camera. For him, it was a way of expressing himself visually where he couldn't do so verbally. From then on, his passion for photography played an important and indispensable role in his life.
Inspired by the world around him and by his own emotions, Mathys shares with us, through a very personal and profound body of work, "urban scenes in which man finds himself isolated, like points of suspension in the tumult of everyday life" (Godet, 2021).
